About the App

Links Fantasy tournaments will begin in the Spring of 2018, with divisions for all levels of players — no handicap required. The unique tournament set up also allows for men and women to compete side by side in the ultimate fantasy golf competition.

You can play on your local course (once it is certified) any day of the week.

You can play every time you go to the course, creating multiple entries in the Links Fantasy tournament. Give yourself multiple chances to win. Every entry is eligible for a chance to share in the purse.

Certification

Links Fantasy has over 15,000 courses in our database and are actively working through our local ambassadors to verify the information in our database is correct. There are over 11,800 tournament eligible courses. To be eligible a course must be a par 70 or higher and have a USGA rating. We are particularly concerned with verifying the par on individual holes and the associated handicap rating for that hole.

Once the information is verified by the ambassador, the course will then be certified for play in the Links Fantasy tournament. Certified courses have a green badge in the course listing on the web site. In the app we display tournament eligible courses with a gold trophy. Grey trophies indicate that they may be eligible for tournament play, but we are lacking one or more elements of data. No trophy attached to a golf course listing indicates it is not tournament eligible.

Add a Sidegame

Choose either an Individual or Team game
Select how you want to assign handicap strokes
Select amount you want to play for
Include or omit special points awarded in that game
Select how you want to handle presses or omit them
Review your group and games set up

Score a Round

Start Playing and view your scorecard
Tap on the cell next in the player row and the hole to enter scoring screen
Tap on the arrow of Sidegame summary to see detail of game
Use your finger to scroll down in detail and see specials
Use your finger to scroll up to see how handicap strokes fall
Use your finger to scroll right to see back 9

Review Tournament Results

Tournament scoring is available on your phone immediately after you post your score. The critical elements are all presented for your review:
- Red P in the upper right of the cell with your gross score indicates that hole has been randomly selected to calculate your handicap – the black Hdcp box
- The black dots in the upper left indicate the number of strokes, if any, you get on that hole to be deducted from your gross score
- The red number in the lower right indicates the number of scores that count on that hole (3, 2 or 1) also represented by red shading.
- All scores are calculated in relation to par on that hole (-1, E, 1)
